The St. Catharine Home & School Association exists to support the mission of St. Catharine School and the families of students who attend. Home & School strives to bring the school and school families together in several ways:

Enhancing Student Life
The Back to School Ice Cream Social, Buddy Family Program, Classroom Gifts at Christmas, and Teacher Appreciation Week are just a few of the ways Home and School helps to foster a sense of community and friendship at St. Catharine School.

Service
Volunteers serve in the classroom, cafeteria, playground, school office, library, nurse’s office, and more. Through our Creative Activities Program, volunteers also lead the amazing after school programs offered in the Fall, Winter, and Spring. Please see our Volunteers page to make sure you have completed the steps to be a volunteer at the school.

Family Convenience Programs

Home & School coordinates the Spring and Fall Uniform Swap, which allows families to save money on the cost of uniforms. The Caller, Spirit Wear sales, P.E. uniform sales, and the annual School Supply Sale are other programs offered for the convenience of St. Catharine families.

Fundraising
Funds raised support the school in a variety of ways: tuition assistance, buses for field trips, teacher wish lists, bonuses at Christmas, Teacher Appreciation Week, 8th Grade trip assistance, fingerprinting fees for the Protecting God’s Children Program, the Caller, and other Special Projects (i.e. Media Center remodel, bathroom renovation, equipment needed for the cafeteria, landscaping, & signs). A few of the fundraisers each year include:

  • Monster Dash 5K
  • Wreath Sale
  • Rummage Sale
  • Flower Sale

Get Involved
The St. Catharine Home & School Association is led by a board of volunteer parents who are elected each Spring by school parents. Generally, the board meets on the 2nd Wednesday of each month during the school year at 6:00 pm in the St. Catharine School Conference Room. Everyone is welcome to attend the meetings.

There are many other ways to get involved with Home & School. Opportunities are available to fit every schedule, whether during the day, evening, or on weekends. Most opportunities take place at the school, but some may be accomplished from your home or office.
